Welcome to The Sunflower Collective
First and foremost, thank you for subscribing to updates about The Sunflower Collective (TSC). I'm excited by your interest in the project as one of our earliest subscribers.
For me, this project is a personal one, my family has ran a small farm for five generations and after a few years helping with the operation as a part-time farmer, I've realized we need a new model. Farmers need labor and additional revenue sources. They are often land rich but cash poor and often don't have clear plans to continue as older generations retire. Meanwhile, in the city, people are feeling more disconnected than ever. Housing and food are expensive and opportunities to live sustainably and have connection to nature and community are sparse.
We're excited to share some ways you can get involved and help our community grow:
- Join us for a virtual meetup: We have casual online gathering to discuss the vision, answer questions, and hear your ideas. Here's the link to schedule
- Spread the word: If you've reviewed the plan and believe in it, please share with friends, family, and your social networks. You can:
- Forward this email to interested friends
- Share our website: TheSunflowerCollective.org
- Post about us on social media
- Give us your feedback: Please take a look at our current plan and let us know your thoughts via the Google doc comments or via email. What excites you? What questions do you have? Your feedback will help shape the future of The Sunflower Collective.
- Suggest outreach ideas: Do you know of any events, forums, or communities where we could share the idea? We're always looking for opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals and organizations.
- Stay connected: Follow us on social media for regular updates:
- Reddit: r/sunflowercollective
- Instagram: @TheSunflowerCollectiveOrg
We're at the beginning of this journey and excited that you are here with us.
